One of our family traditions in December is to read the book "The Forgotten Carols". Ever since we started this tradition I've been wanting to make ornaments to go along with the story, but it's taken me 6 years!
A lot of the ones I made this year are not permanent, but I did a quick temporary one so I could have something. I will improve them as I go.

I didn't know there was an actually book. I thought it was just the concert they do. That's cool you made all those ornaments and it has special meaning to your family.
I'm totally copying this next year!! If I remember, that is! I love the inn, the bow, and the flute thingy. You did great! I'm sure we could figure out a way to do the cradle...what a fun tradition!
Could you possibly tell me which songs go with which ornaments? We have the same tradition only each year we pick and sing one of the carols and add it to the tree. I can't figure out which goes with the song "homeless".
For years I Have wanted to create forgotten carols ornaments. But I lazily waited for someone else to do the work. Your blog has inspired me because I am done waiting and I will go ahead and create my own. I just wanted to let you know that your inspiring people still and if you have updated photos I would love to see them.
I came across this blog a few years ago looking for The Forgotten Carol Ornaments my self. A story shared every Christmas as a child. Just recently, my husband and I just started an engraving business (called Jai Engravings) and create these ornaments from wood! It'll be a wonderful treat to put these up on our Christmas tree as we share the story. I hope you have been able to continue to improve your ornaments.
